HOW YOU CAN HELP

Sample E-mail or Letter

Write or call your House and Senate Representatives and tell them you want choice in inflight communications services.

Dear Senator or Representative ____:

Airline passengers deserve the same reliable communication connectivity and choices available on the ground. That is why I am writing to ask you to oppose Section 423 of HR.915 (FAA Re-Authorization Act of 2009) which would ban wireless voice communication and VOIP on any commercial airline in American airspace. There are absolutely no safety or health reasons to justify such a legislative ban. The proposed legislation is clearly arbitrary and subjective.

The FAA and the FCC have a regulatory role to perform and those agencies should be allowed to determine that, when these services are provided, it will be done safely and with the appropriate controls to respect passenger rights. Countries around the world have embraced this technology and approved its use and America can and should as well!

Please oppose Section 423 of HR.915 and support traveler connectivity and choice.

Sincerely,

How would you like to stay connected to your child the whole time he is traveling to Grandma's?
